Great Wall of China Marathon (GWCM) is usually held annually on May 1st,which provides full race,half race, 10km and 5km distances.It attracts the participants from all over the world.The 14th competition in 2015 attracted more than 1000 participants.

And in 2020,we would hold two Great Wall of China Marathon races as well.Besides the one on May 1st,we would held Great Wall of China Marathon 2019-Autumn at another different Great Wall in Beijing on Sunday October 18,2020.


Capital Hotel is a comprehensive five-star hotel in the central downtown area of Beijing. Situated in Qianmen and Wangfujing commercial area, the hotel is close to many scenic spots including Tiananmen Square, National Museum of China and Forbidden City. It is also surrounded by many government agencies and office buildings. In the rear of the hotel is the time-honored DongJiaominxiang Alley. With subways and bus stops nearby, the hotel is easily accessible.
Capital Hotel consists of two Towers. Tower A was open in 1989 and Tower B in 2007. Upon the completion of the Hotel Exterior Upgrading in May, 2018, Capital Hotel features more green area and landscaped gardens with traditional Chinese cultural ingredients in the city center.

Day 5 Beijing (B, L) - May 3, 2020 Sun

Full day tour of Beijing begins at the Tian’anmen Square, the largest public plaza in the world. Next we visit the Forbidden City, the best-known image of Imperial China built by more than 200,000 workers in the 5th century during the Ming Dynasty. Home to 24 emperors of the Ming and Qing Dynasties, the huge complex consists of the ceremonial spaces, working areas and private quarters once used by its privileged occupants.  Proceed to the centuries-old hutongs (including a rickshaw ride), the ancient quarters of Beijing, for a fresh insight of Beijing’s local life and to learn how to make dumpling. Evening is free at leisure with dinner on own.

Day 6 Beijing (B, L) - May 4, 2020 Mon

Start the day to excursion with the truly awesome Badaling Great Wall of China (UNESCO World Heritage site). All portions ever made would equal a solid defense wall going around the equator one and one-half times. At the less visited Badaling section, one of the most impressive portions of the barrier, you have time to enjoy the area, photograph majestic views and maybe bargain with the local vendors. After lunch at Jade Carving Factory Restaurant, drive to the Ming Tombs, and visit the most famous emperors mausoleum of Ming Dynasty with 500 years history—Chang Ling and Sacred Way, the main way of which the Ming Dynasty emperor has to pass through to worship their forefathers. Late afternoon transfer back to downtown.

Day 8 Beijing (B, L) - May 6, 2020 Wed

Start the morning to explore the Temple of Heaven, a masterpiece of 15th century Ming Dynasty architecture built for important rituals for the emperors, a magnificent example of 15th century mechanics and geometry whose design follows strict numerological symbolism and a most significant imperial building for the Chinese. Then we visit the Lama Temple, which is a temple and monastery of the Gelug school of Tibetan Buddhism. The building and artwork of the temple is a combination of Han Chinese and Tibetan styles. After lunch at local restaurant, proceed to visit the prestigious Summer Palace, featuring the Long Corridor with painted gallery, Kunming Lake and Longevity Hill, Seventeen Arch Bridge and the Marble Boat. Have an opportunity to take photos for outside view at the Bird’s Nest Olympic Stadium and Water Cube (built for the 2008 Olympics). Evening is free at leisure with dinner on own.

Day 9 Depart Beijing (B) - May 7, 2020 Thur

We will be transferred to the airport for the flight home.
